We encourage entries from any person or company involved in the production of print including screen, offset, digital, flexographic, and trade binderies etc.
All entries must be actual jobs executed by the entrant for clients, prototypes are not permitted, all entries must be a production job run. The entries submitted should be free of obvious imperfections.
The prescribed online or physical entry form must be completed for each entry/sample submitted. There is entry fees for each and every sample/entry submitted as per the details given, check out complete pricing —the more you submit, the more you save!
It is very easy first carefully select samples of your best work, check the print process used to produce the entry. Different groups are created based on process of printing. At the dropdown menu of the different groups, you can find the names/details of the entries. Check the most appropriate one for your selected sample. If still you’re unsure, we can help! Simply contact us with your questions. Entries should be carefully selected for judging (e.g. free of print and production imperfections, clean, unmarked, and undamaged).
After filling the entry form and making payments you will receive, and email containing PDF (packing slip) to print and paste it at the back or convenient place of the relevant entry/sample. Securely pack all your entries in a box/cover and ship these at Print Excellence Award Secretariat, 2051, B-XX, Gobind Nagar, Civil Lines, Ludhiana – 141001 (India)
There is no restriction for the number of entries per group or per category (e.g. if you select wall calendar, you can send multiple entries/samples under the same category, however entry fees per sample/entry is to be paid.
You can submit one or more entries in multiple categories/groups. The separate entry fee and a separate entry form is required for each category entered. You are also to provide one sample for each entry submitted, even if it’s the same piece.
The judging will be done using latest sophisticated software. Since the judging is done in camera, it will be broadcasted live at the official website and/or other media. The qualified impartial judges are appointed by the All India Federation of Master Printers for the selection of award winning entries. The judges are selected based on their experience and expertise in the printing industry. The jury members are unpaid volunteers, known for their honesty and commitment who donate their time and energy for the cause of printing industry. The detail of the entrant is not shared with the jury they will be judging the samples without knowing the production houses. Only computer will declare the winner based on selected sample by the jury.
In such cases, the organizers reserve the right to reject or move the entries to their proper category when necessary. Entry fees once submitted is non-refundable even if the entry is rejected. The judges may also reclassify any entry where it is not to the disadvantage of the entrant.
Each category will be considered and evaluated for its aesthetic value, print and finishing quality. The submitted sample will be assumed to be the representative of total print run. For the fair and transparent competition and to give equal opportunity to all, any printing/packaging item with value addition, will be judged only for standards other than value additions, if not submitted as per the category number provided for value addition.
The top five nominated entries will be notified via phone and/or email on 15th February 2023. The detail along with photograph of the five nominated entries, for each category, will be printed in the ‘Black-Book’ to be released during the award ceremony. The final winners will be announced during the gala award ceremony on 29th March 2023 at Hotel JW Marriott, Sahar, Mumbai.
All the winning and some other entries will be displayed during PAMEX going to be held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai from 27 to 30 March 2023, where tradeshow visitors will vote on their favourite entry. People’s Choice Award will be announced later.
The entries/samples submitted for the competition become the property of the organizer and will not be returned. It is at the liberty of the organizers to provide these to the print students for their research and studies or to use these for any other purpose, however, protecting the copyright provisions.
Entry mailing/shipping costs and award shipment fees will be the responsibility of the participant/Award winners
