GPEA is introduced by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) to recognize the excellence in printing world over. Representing 250,000 printers of India, AIFMP is the premier association looking for the growth and development of printing/packaging sector. GPEA is going to be the industry’s most prestigious award competition for the recognition of best of the best in print world over. The awards recognize excellence in quality, creativity, and innovation. The award ceremony highlights the extraordinary work that is produced in the industry for the customers.
AIFMP (https://aifmp.org/) is the apex body of 250,000 printers of India and is the world's largest printers’ association. Established in 1953, AIFMP is the founder member of World Print and Communication Forum (WPCF) and draws its strength from the 75 regional associations spread across the country. For strengthening the printing industry, AIFMP supports, participates in, and organises several regional, national and international events with the aim of lobbying for the interests of the Indian printers, showcasing the Indian printing industry’s achievements and holding technical seminars for educating the printers about global trends and technologies. AIFMP has a very strong and proud history of recognizing the excellence in the print, by way of organizing the National Awards for the Excellence in Printing (NAEP) which encourages, promotes, and recognises innovation and quality in the Indian printing industry since 1999. The Viren Chhabra Print Leadership Award (VCPLA) is introduced by AIFMP in 2017 to recognize the services of a devoted person for development and growth of the industry and welfare of the printing community. VCPLA is the most prestigious honour for an individual not less than Oscars. These award programmes laid the foundation for this international competition of print.
GPEA are hosted by the Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) https://www.opaindia.in/. Established in 1988, OPA has recognized itself into a dynamic and influential organization that provides a strong voice for the needs of printing community. Considered to the most active printers association OPA is also active in the field of print education and recognizing the print talent.
GPEA are the most coveted, tangible, and equally visible recognition conferred to a printer in honour of its work and commitment to serve the ever-changing needs of print buyers. GPEA is an all-inclusive industry competition that represents all areas and categories of print screen printing, offset printing, digital printing, packaging, flexographic, gravure printing, and embellishments/enhancements, produced by commercial/package printers/converters and binderies/finishers. For natural justice the system of submitting the entries is being simplified and judging will be done in camera with the help of latest IS software. Entire judging process will be broadcasted live at the official website and/or other social media. The award ceremony of GPEA will be held coinciding with the PAMEX (https://www.pamex.in/) at Hotel JW Marriott, Sahar, Mumbai on 29th March 2023.
